At Logos Church, our worship follows what is called covenant renewal, a biblical structure that reflects the rhythm of approaching God, confessing our sins, dedicating ourselves to His purposes, communing with Him, and being sent out to live faithfully as His people.
Call to Worship
We begin with a Call to Worship, where God summons us to leave behind the distractions of daily life and enter into His holy presence. This time includes singing songs of praise, reading Scripture, and prayers of adoration. It reminds us that worship is not our initiative but a response to God’s call.
Confession of Sin
In the Confession of Sin, we acknowledge our sins and humbly seek God’s forgiveness. Through prayers of confession and assurance of pardon, we are reminded of His faithfulness to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, preparing our hearts for the rest of the service.
Consecration
The Consecration portion of our worship focuses on dedication and instruction. This includes the public reading of Scripture, catechism recitations, Scripture memory work, and a sermon. The sermon is central to this segment, where God’s Word is preached to strengthen our faith and equip us for obedient living in the week ahead.
At the close of the sermon, the pastor opens the floor for questions about the message. This allows for clarification and deeper understanding, encouraging engagement with the truths presented in God’s Word.
Communion
Each week, we participate in Communion, where we remember and proclaim Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf. This sacred meal unites us as the body of Christ, offering spiritual nourishment and reaffirming our covenant commitment to Him.
Commission
The service concludes with a Commission, where we are sent out with a benediction to live as ambassadors of Christ in the world. This final act reminds us that worship is not confined to the church building but continues in our daily lives as we seek to glorify God in all that we do.
Fellowship Over a Meal
Our gathering ends with a time of fellowship as we share a meal together. Everyone is welcome to bring a biblically clean dish for a potluck-style meal, fostering relationships within our covenant community.
At Logos Church, every element of our service is intentionally designed to glorify God, build up His people, and equip us to live out our faith in a world that desperately needs His light. We hope you’ll find our covenant renewal worship enriching and transformative.
